Students should not arrive before 8:40 AM. Our outdoor supervisors and safety patrollers will be ready to greet and assist students starting at that time to ensure a safe and smooth start to the day.

🦺 Playground & Crosswalk Safety:
We have an incredible team of supervisors keeping our students safe every day!

We’re thrilled to kick off this year’s Terry Fox School Campaign—a time when our school community comes together to honour a true Canadian hero and raise funds for cancer research. Terry’s story continues to inspire millions, and we’re proud to walk in his footsteps once again.

💙 How to Donate

This year, we’re making fundraising easier than ever! Families can choose to donate in one of two ways:

2. Classroom Page – Each teacher will be sharing a link to their classroom’s fundraising page soon. Donations made here will also count toward our school-wide goal of $3,000! This information will be sent out on September 16^th.

👟 Walk Day – September 26th

We warmly invite families to join us for our Terry Fox Walk on Friday, September 26th, right after our Welcome Back Assembly in the gym. We’ll celebrate the start of a new school year, hear a short presentation about Terry’s legacy, and then head out for our walk together. Our goal is to get started at 1:15 once we can al get into the gym. 😊

We’ve updated our route this year to ensure safety and accessibility for all students. A map will be shared closer to the date.

If you’re joining us:

• Please stay with your child’s class during the walk. The classroom buddies will be walking together to ensure that students are safe on our journey. 
• Wear red and white or Canadian gear to show your spirit!
• Help us cheer on our students as they walk with purpose and pride

🎟️ Spirit & Stickers

Each student will receive an “I am walking for…” sticker to wear prior to the day. These can be filled out at home with a name or cause that’s meaningful to your family. Classes will also receive Terry Fox tattoos—a fun way to show support!

📚 Learning About Terry

In the lead-up to the walk, students will be learning about Terry Fox through classroom activities and library displays. We’ll also be reading the new Terry Fox book during our assembly, so students can hear his story in a powerful and engaging way.

Let’s come together to celebrate courage, community, and hope. Thank you for supporting this incredible cause and helping us keep Terry’s dream alive.
