Thank you for visiting our TES website! My name is Raylene Taylor and I am new to TES this year. I share my time at TES between the 501 classroom and the Vice Principal duties.

Before coming to TES, I taught in Melfort for 10 years. I have taught grade 2 and grade 3, and grade 5 before joining the TES team this fall.

As you can see from each page of our site, Tisdale Elementary School puts students first. The success of students is our primary concern of our staff. We believe our students are valuable, capable and ready to be the best they can be and we appreciate their ideas, their contributions and their enthusiasm.

Opportunity is also a priority of the TES staff. Students have many valuable learning experiences while at TES. Students regularly visit our computer lab to support their learning. We have an excellent resource center which students use for research, collaborative group work and finding reading materials they enjoy reading. Students also have opportunities to join academic clubs such as Writing Club.

Opportunity to grow individual student interests is also important at TES. Students can choose to participate in a variety of club activities such as Running Club, Craft Club, Fitness Club, Earth Club, Cooking Club, Drama, and Choir. Our WINS Program (“ W e I nvite N utrition to S chool”) and our commitment to “Growing Green” demonstrate ways students choose to contribute to their communities and to their own health and wellness.

Also, students have a clear plan for appropriate, respectful behavior at TES. They know they are to “Bee Respectful” and they work hard to fulfill this expectation in classrooms, in hallways, and on the playground. It is our desire for these “Respectful Bee-haviors” to spill over into homes and into the community. There are so many ways for students to stretch themselves at TES…it is a privilege for our staff to be part of these opportunities each and every day.
